Todd Cavanah resurfaces as Program Director at WLS-FM
Former B96 exec takes job at classic hits station
Former Audacy exec Todd Cavanah has returned to Chicago radio as new PD of Cumulus’ WLS-FM, taking over the classic hits station effective immediately. Cavanah is a longtime fixture on the Chicago radio scene, spending 33 years at Audacy and its predcessor companies, CBS Radio and Infinity Broadcasting. He departed Audacy on April 4 of this year after serving as Vice-President of Programming for Audacy overseeing five radio stations including WBBM-FM, where he was a radio personality then segued into program director at the contemporary hit radio station. His management roles expanded after Viacom/CBS merged with Infinity Broadcasting, adding roles overseeing other stations in the cluster.

In the most recent radio ratings period, WLS-FM tied for eighth place with Nexstar’s news/talk station WGN-AM.
