KTVT dumps five good minutes

The CBS-owned station in Dallas dumped the “First Five Minutes”segments because it wants to focus less on crime (what else was the segment filled with?) and it caused a division in the station’s newsroom, plus it couldn’t get Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon from PTI to anchor (that last bit was a joke, but seriously, PTI’s Five Good Minutes interview segment is much better than KTVT’s Five Bad Minutes.)

Editor’s Note: The station’s news director was fired on Friday (8/31/07) after five months on the job.
